Director - Laura McLinn Before opening Indy Learning Center in 2005, Laura taught middle and high school mathematics in Lawrence Township for ten years. Along with her staff of about twelve employees, she provides math tutoring, ISTEP, SAT & ACT prep, Spanish lessons and childcare for students of all ages. A native to Indianapolis, Laura is a 1991 graduate of Decatur Central High School. She completed her undergraduate teaching studies at the University of Indianapolis in 1995. Then, in 2005 she received her Master's Degree in education from Indiana University. She is also a mother to two daughters, two step-daughters and one son.	Laura McLinn, Director
Sarah Weesner - Lead Preschool Teacher Sarah is the lead teacher in our preschool house. She has several years of experience working in childcare settings including commercial centers, in-home settings and church. She has extensive training in early childhood education. Sarah also has two children who are a part of our preschool program. Claudia Moncada - Spanish Teacher and Caregiver Claudia is a native speaker of Spanish from Honduras. She has lived in Indiana since 2008. She works with the infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Claudia also gives private lessons for conversational Spanish for adults and children. She likes to draw and uses a lot of illustrations as part of her teaching style. She has two sons.
Eveliss Eveliss speaks Spanish with our kids, cleans, cooks and gives lots of love to all!
"Grandma" Linda Godwin Laura's mom helps out with a little bit of everything including cooking, cleaning, teaching and hugging. The kids all know her as, "grandma". Our Nannies - Vanessa & Daniela Vanessa and Daniela are from Mexico. They come to spend time with us during the summer. They speak Spanish with the children and help with a lot of different things. They are just like a part of our family!
Sherri - Lead Teacher for Infants & Toddlers Sherri Phelps is one of our lead teachers at the infant and toddler house. She served for almost 30 years at Noah's Ark Preschool in California, first as a lead teacher, then as the directror.  Along with all of the training she has been through with her former position at Noah's Ark, Sherri also has taken several education classes at UCLA. She is married with one daughter. Angela - Caregiver Angela Carpenter provides full time care for the infants and toddlers at the Edgewood House. Angela spent a few years at home with her own children and has now joined our team full time. Elena - Our Nanny Elena Lopez is our nanny. She helps out at all of the daycares as needed and teaches Spanish classes on the weekends. She spent a couple of years in college in Mexico studying art before coming to the United States. She is very creative, patient, energetic and loves children. She speaks Spanish with all of the children. Elena also does mural painting. Amanda Barton - Preschool Assistant Amanda is a full time student at Univesity of Indianapolis. She spends a few hours each week with the preschoolers.
